PMI Zimbabwe Chapter

Press Release: COVID-19

The global spread of Coronavirus is affecting every one of us. PMI Zimbabwe Chapter is actively monitoring the situation regarding the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) around the world in general and in Zimbabwe in particular. The well-being of our members, volunteers and the community is at the top of our mind.

In line with the measures adopted by the Zimbabwe government that, amongst other things, encourage social distancing and discourage large gatherings, we are cancelling all in-person events for the next 60 days. This is to support the national effort to contain and mitigate the spread of the virus.

PMI Zimbabwe Chapter informs all its members, potential members and other stakeholders that our Chapter activities are moving to virtual delivery via email, website, webinars and social media postings to enable our community to continue professional development and to benefit from networking.  Please check our website to stay connected on news and information regarding our events and new offerings.

We will continue to closely monitor the latest official updates and follow guidance from central government, Project Management Institute, and other professional health agencies regarding the management of this global pandemic and will adapt our response accordingly.

Please avoid passing misleading or information from questionable sources about the Coronavirus.  Projects are first and foremost about people. We hope that as you endeavour to manage your projects professionally, you will remember to put your health, and of your family and friends and the whole nation, first. As PMI Zimbabwe Chapter leadership, your health is important to us and wish that you will all stay healthy.
