Ike, the PMI Region Mentor for Africa, is an independent Project Management Consultant and CEO of Distinct Management Ltd. He is a seasoned and motivated project management professional with over 25 extensive years of experience in project management and the full life cycle management of multi-million, multi-sized and varied projects, across diverse sectors and delivered to a variety of organizations throughout the UK, US and Africa.
Ike has a focus on Project Strategy, Implementation and Coaching and a track record in leadership, business transformation and implementation, all applied through the application of project management, a strong focus on execution and backed up by a reputation for “getting the job done.”
He holds a BSc, MSc and MBA and is a PMI certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a Certified Prince2 Project Management Practitioner (Prince2) and a Member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM). Ike is passionate about project Management and the effective promotion and application of Project management through out Africa.
Deji is an experienced and versatile leadership & organisational development partner working with organisations to develop strategy, build leadership capacity and talent to support organisational transformations. He has a robust experience of supporting clients through complex transformations and he continues to be involved in technology and project management.
His work experience covers some parts of Africa, Europe, America, Middle East and he is now mainly focused on building a pan-African client base. Industry experience is expansive ranging from Technology & Telecommunications, Government Agencies & Departments, Financial services, Oil and Gas companies & Regulators.
Currently he is the Practice Lead for the Organisational Health and Change Management practice in Afrissance. He is a part of Helmsley Fraser leadership development faculty (www.helmsleyfraser.com) delivering Leadership Interventions for their Fortune 500 clients. He is an International Consulting Partner with Table Group (Organisational Health firm www.tablegroup.com). He is a change management consultant and facilitator (Prosci Certified Advanced Instructor (PCAI) since 2009, authorised to deliver PROSCI Change Management certification to clients. He is an Insights Licensed Practitioner and coach and uses the Insights model to underpin his work.
Currently, he volunteers with the Project Management Institute Educational Foundation (PMIEF – www.pmief.org) as a Community Engagement Lead for PMI Chapters in Africa. He currently sits on the board of the PMI Nigeria Chapter as a Director.
Previously, he was a founding member of the PMI Lagos, Nigeria Chapter (2005), President of the Chapter and he served as the Region Mentor for PMI Chapters in Africa from 2010 – 2013. He also served as a Director of the Association of Change Management Professionals (ACMP) Africa Chapter until 2014.
Deji Ishmael, (PMP) is an alumni of HEC Paris & Oxford University (Combined Executive Masters program – Coacbhing and Consulting for Change), BATH University (MBA Program). Deji is a graduate of the PMI Leadership Institute Master Class (LIMC 2010).
Dr S. Diarra, the current CEO of the Zimbabwe Institution of Engineers, is a trained Civil/Structural Engineer and Academic with over 35 years’ experience. He has lectured at the University of Zimbabwe, NUST, Harare Poly and Bulawayo Poly. He has worked for the United Nations in more than 30 countries and is a retained International Consultant with the Organisation.
He is the winner of the Megafest Business Awards: Megafest CEO of the year 2016. Dr Diarra seats on several Boards notably the Manicaland State University Council, the General Council of the Standard Association of Zimbabwe (SAZ), the Engineering accreditation Board of Zimbabwe, the Council of the Institute of Director of Zimbabwe (IoDZ), etc.
He has been a member of the Main Committee for Research and Intellectual Output–Science, Engineering & Technology (RIO-SET) under the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development and Chairman of the RIO-SET Adjudication Committee for projects evaluation, patenting, escalation, commercialization and entrepreneurship.
Dr Diarra is a practitioner of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and qualified Arbitrator. He is a registered professional for dispute avoidance Boards (DAB) with the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF), a USA-based dispute resolution body in the infrastructure development sector, registered with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in the UK in 2000, the Southern Africa Association of Arbitrators, South Africa in 2009 and the Harare Commercial Arbitration Centre in 1998; Certified Mediator by the London School of Mediation and the Southern Africa Association of Arbitrators.
Dr Diarra is a member of the Committee on Anti-Corruption of the World Federation of Engineering Organisations (WFEO), a Paris based international organisation.
